Community RadiosThe Silverton CPA makes use of a community radio network to share relevant information and to help each other. In order to cover our cost in terms of our radio repeater, ICASA licence, web hosting, administration, and some projects, we request a minimal annual fee of R400 per household. We advise that you can purchase a radio as well at a once off cost of R1 750 (Kirisun PT5200). The total cost of a year's membership fee and a radio is thus R2 150. The Silverton CPA Banking details are as follows: We perform a radio signal test every evening at 19h15 to test if our radios are still working properly. You can participate in the signal test as and when required. However, useful news and the latest criminal incidents, activities and trends are often shared before (19h00) and after the signal test. It is thus advisable that you listen to the radio at this time. Radios purchased through the CPA are sourced from 3G Telecom.
