Stolen Golf recovered

Last night, the 20th of February 2014, the Silverton CPA helped to recover a stolen Golf.

Well done to our patrollers!

It started when a man noticed a suspicious individual snooping around his daughter's blue Golf 1. The suspicious man ran away at first, but returned later and stole the blue Golf along with two of his cohorts. They gained access to the vehicle by smashing the small triangular window in the Golf's left rear door.

The three males drove the vehicle from the crime scene in Kirkia street down Watermeyer street towards Mamelodi. After being notified of the incident members of the Silverton CPA deployed to all possible escape routes around the scene and the suspected exit routes.

Our good friends at Starcrow Security, Frank and his colleagues, also joined the search for the stolen car. Our members, Ferdie, Zerk and George along with Starcrow located the vehicle in Watermeyer street where it had come to a standstill. The anti-theft mechanisms had eventually kicked in!

Three men fled the scene where the stolen car had stopped in a yellow Golf 1 and a fourth man fled on foot. Starcrow persued the yellow Golf, but could not spot any identifying marks on the car, or get a number plate. After being notified by the Silverton CPA, the SAPS responded to the incident as well.

The young lady who the car belongs to had all her University books stolen, but at least she got her car back! The incident has been extensively logged on the Silverton CPA incident register and has been reported to the SAPS. Anyone with any more information can contact the Silverton Police Station, or the Silverton CPA.

Gesteelde voertuig herwin

Wat egter vir my uitstaan, is dat dit maar Pieter 13 se tweede diensbeurt as kontroleerder was... WELGEDAAN SEUN!!
